November 3 (Part 1) – Drive to Chilika Lake and Drive to Puri

Our hotel last night had very pretty grounds so we spent a bit of time this morning walking around, enjoying the grounds and taking some pictures.

There were quite a lot of flowers on the grounds.

And their was a great reflection pool by the main reception building.

 Got a good reflection of Valerie and Stephen.

The hotel was right on the edge of Chilika Lake so on the way out  we had a short stop at the waterfront. 

Much of the early drive today was along the lake.  While we were a way inland and couldn’t see the lake proper there were a lot of wetlands to see...

and the usual traffic.

The drive also took us by a small herd of water buffalo neck deep in water.

Then it was on to the lake for a boat ride and lots of waterfowl.  (See November 3, Part 2).
